I would like to share one of my favorite movies. – Pirates of the Caribbean.  Hindi lang dahil gwapo yung mga bida =). I just really love the story. Isn’t it obvious on my blog’s web title?? =) I don’t love fantasy/adventure movies that much, but then this is really a good one! For torrent users, I will just share my torrent files soon for Pirates 1,2 and 3.  So far, Curse of the Black Pearl was still the best among the three releases, though maganda naman sila lahat. All of them will have you feel that you’re on the other world. Hindi magic, pero you’ll be part of the adventure talaga. For whatever that means. 🙂 Simple lang, astig yung movie!!!

The Curse of the Black Pearl

For the roguish, yet charming Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp), the crystalline waters of the Caribbean, like the high seas the world over, present a vast playground where adventures and mystery abound. But Jack’s idyllic life capsizes after his nemesis, the wily Captain Barbossa (Rush) steals his ship, the Black Pearl, and later attacks the town of Port Royal, kidnapping the Governor’s beautiful daughter, Elizabeth Swann (Knightley). Elizabeth’s childhood friend, Will Turner (Bloom), joins forces with Jack to commandeer the fastest ship in the British fleet, the HMS Interceptor, in a gallant attempt to rescue her and recapture the Black Pearl. The duo and their motley crew are pursued by Elizabeth’s betrothed, the ambitious Commodore Norrington (Davenport), aboard the HMS Dauntless. Unbeknownst to Will, there is a curse that has doomed Barbossa and his crew to live forever as the undead, where on each moonlit night, they are transformed into living skeletons. The curse they carry can be broken only if a once plundered treasure is restored.

The Deadman’s Chest

Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) is doomed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation if he can’t find his way out of a debt to the legendary Davey Jones, ruler of the ocean depths and captain of the ghostly Flying Dutchman. While trying to work his way out of this problem, Sparrow throws a wrench into the wedding plans of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). The young couple comes to his aid, joining him on the high seas.

At World’s End

It is a dark time as the Age of Piracy nears to a close. Lord Cutler Beckett of the East India Company has gained control of the terrifying ghost ship, the Flying Dutchman, and its malevolent, vengeful captain, Davy Jones (Bill Nighy). The Dutchman now roams the seven seas, unstoppable, destroying pirate ships without mercy under the command of Admiral Norrington.

Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) and Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) embark on a desperate quest to gather the Nine Lords of the Brethren Court, their only hope to defeat Beckett, the Flying Dutchman, and his Armada.

But one of the Lords is missing — Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), either the best or worst pirate ever, and now trapped in Davy Jones’ Locker, thanks to his encounter with the monstrous Kraken.

In an increasingly shaky alliance, our heroes, including Tia Dalma (Naomie Harris), Pintel and Ragetti, must first travel to dangerous, exotic Singapore and confront Chinese pirate Captain Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat) to gain charts, and a ship, that will take them off to world’s end, to rescue Jack.

But even if Captain Jack is successfully rescued, the gathering of the legendary Brethren Court may not be enough to hold back the fearsome tide of Beckett, Davy Jones and their powerful Armada…unless the capricious sea goddess Calypso, imprisoned in human form, can be freed and convinced to come to their aid.

As betrayal piles upon betrayal, it becomes clear that Jack, Will, Elizabeth, Sao Feng and Barbossa each have their own agenda, and no one can be trusted. Yet each much choose a side, and make their final alliances for one last battle, in a titanic showdown that could eliminate the freedom-loving pirates from the seven seas — forever.

Atlanta – Things you don’t want to miss

Filed under: Travels — juvai @ 4:57 am

I’ve stayed here in Atlanta for almost 8mos now. I’m here for business reason, but I guess that doesn’t forbids me to share some of the fun things to do other than working =). Here’s my list:

1. Enjoy the nature appeal  and climate of Atlanta. – Parang Tagaytay or Baguio lang dito. Not too cold not warm, but certainly you’ll enjoy the weather.

2. Atlanta is the home of Coca-Cola. – Visit the new building of Coca-cola museum. Damage is 18bucks.

3. Visit Six Flags. – Consists of Warner Bros characters. Parang naka discount kami 50%, but i think it will cost you 20-25bucks. Don’t forget to ride ‘Goliath’. hehehehe..

4. Visit their parks as well. From uptown to downtown, specially on holidays and their special occassions.

5. There are several art musuems, and old type of churches as well.

6. Hooters. – Meron din nito sa other states, pero so far okay naman yung branches ng Hooters sa Atlanta. Sarap chicken! But ofcourse, for the guys indi lang legs ng chicken masarap dito.

7. GA Acquarium. – Never tried visiting it. Pero dun sa mga nakapunta okay naman daw.

See, wala na kong mailagay, boring din talaga. Hehehehe. Maybe I just really choose want I think worth visiting. I’m true blooded home-buddy, but if you are more adventurous than me, baka mas mahaba listahan nyo.

Title: Incubus – Drive lyrics

Sometimes, I feel the fear of,
uncertainty stinging clear.
And I can’t help but ask
myself how much I’ll let the fear
take the wheel and steer.

It’s driven me before, and it seems to a faint,
haunting mass appeal.
But lately I, am beginning to find that I,
should be the one behing the wheel.

Whatever tomorrow brings, I’ll be there,
with open arms and open eyes, yeah.
Whatever tomorrow brings, I’ll be there,
I’ll be there….

So if I, decide to waiver my,
chance to be one of, the hive.
Will I, choose water over wine
and hold my own and drive?

It’s driven me before, and it seems to be the way,
that everyone else gets around,
But lately I’m, beginning to find that,
When I drive myself my light is found.

Would you choose, water over wine,
hold the wheel and drive…
